Apple Releases iPadOS 17.5.1 Build 21F91 For iPad 10
Apple has today made available to download revised version of iPadOS 17.5.1 for iPad 10.
The aforementioned revised version of iPadOS 17.5.1 carries build number 21F91 and is currently only available for 10th-generation, low-cost version of the iPad.
It’s important to note that this new version of iPadOS 17.5.1 is only availble to download via Finder on Mac or iTunes on Windows and is currently not available to download via OTA (over-the-air) update.
The original version of firmware 17.5.1 was released back in mid-May this year and carried the build 21F90, and it was available to download for all supported iPhone and iPad devices.
It’s likely that this version of iPadOS 17.5.1 fixes some critical issue which was only present on iPad 10 devices. The original iPadOS 17.5.1 release itself was a bug fix release which fixed deleted photos reappearing issue in Photos app.
Apple is holding its annual WWDC event next week where they will announce iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 along with other OS platforms. It’s unlikely for Apple to add any new feature at this point to iOS 17.x releases.
